Following on from Gerald’s earlier demonstation of fake business reviews Chapter 11 of Don’t Duck the Question takes a look at Word of Mouth Marketing.
Gerald explains that it’s not only what is being said that is important, but also who is saying it.
Gerald uses the Sony Walkman as an example and stresses how important it is that the right people are saying the right things at the right time.
Gerald also emphasises the importance that what is being said appears natural, spontanious and totally unscripted.
The whole essence of Word of Mouth Marketing is that it isn’t seen as marketing at all.
